I found the onsen area quite cramped, particularly during peak hours, which detracted from the relaxation I sought. Additionally, the hiking distance to reach the hotel was more strenuous than anticipated. Providing clearer instructions on how to get there would have made our arrival smoother.

My stay at Kirinosato Takahara was enchanting! Every detail was wonderful, from the stunning views of the valley to the delectable dinner featuring local ingredients like wild asparagus and elegantly cooked fish. The onsen was also a heavenly retreat.

As soon as we arrived, Jian welcomed us with an ice-cold beer and a warm smile. We were really impressed by how generous he was – offered to give us rides, and even played guitar for everyone after dinner! !
